1. Submitted data

5. Shariff Social Media Buttons
With Shariff you can use social media without putting your privacy at risk unnecessarily. The c’t project Shariff replaces the usual Share-buttons of social networks and protects your surfing behavior. Nevertheless, you can share information with others by a single click.
The usual social media buttons transmit user data to Facebook & Co. on every page visit and provide the social networks with precise information about your surfing habits (user tracking), although you are not logged in or even a member. In contrast, the Shariff button only transmits information to the Social Network when actively clicking on it.
Shariff prevents that you leave a digital track on each page you visit and improves data protection.
